Sky Valley is in extreme northeastern Georgia and is the highest city in Georgia! Sky Valley is located on the slopes of Rabun Bald – Georgia’s 2nd highest peak and is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest. Sky Valley’s northern boundary is the Georgia – North Carolina State line.
Originally known as Sky Valley Resort, it was developed in 1969 and included Georgia’s only ski area! Sky Valley originally was a ski area only. A great valley golf course as added in 1971.
Today, Sky Valley consist of the Sky Valley Country Club along with private homes and several interval ownership and rental homes properties. The Sky Valley Country Club is private, but the golf course is open to the public and to vacation renters and is a wonderful valley golf course. Also available are tennis courts, spa and fitness center. Sky Valley is a great resort to operate as your home base as you explore this area of The High South!
