The new Fightingtown Creek Nature Park just had their ribbon cutting / grand opening in mid-September 2022.
Fightingtown Creek Nature Park is located about 5 miles from downtown Blue Ridge Georgia and is one of the closest hiking/biking parks to Blue Ridge. For directions, please scroll down!
The Fightingtown Creek Nature Park currently has two trails – Upper and Lower Prince Loops and the combined distance is about 3.6 miles.
They have plans for up to 10 miles of trails. The Fightingtown Creek Nature Park Hub Parking Lot has an elevation of 2080’ and the highest point just at 2300’. This will provide a descent and challenging elevation gain over the entire trail system.
The Fightingtown Creek Nature Park’s trails are brand new and in excellent shape. The TourNorthGeorgia.com team would rate this trail as Moderate for hiking. As a mountain biker I would state that the combination of some 180-degree switchbacks and some good, long inclines will give even the best biker a good ride. In addition, The Fightingtown Creek Nature Park is the training facility for the Fannin County Composite and Gilmer Cartecay Mountain Bike team. As such, the trails provide for a few nice jumps where you can catch some serious air!
All in all, The Fightingtown Creek Nature Park is an excellent facility particularly being brand new! We will be back with the bike!!
