We have dined at 19 Degrees several times and really prefer the upper, front outside deck. From here you have a great view of the Dahlonega Square.
The staff is primarily North Georgia University students and we have always had very friendly and knowledgeable employees.
The menu is quite extensive offering ‘Southern Coast’ cuisine. Anything with shrimp usually gets our vote and although not on the daily menu, a fresh shrimp taco is generally offered. If not the blackened fish taco is delicious.
The low country boil is a man sized tray of shrimp, potatoes, sausage and corn – quite delicious!. Honorable mention would go to the low country shrimp and grits!
The pours of wine are very adequate for our taste particularly at lunchtime!
The wine selection is not extensive but sure to please most!
When you are ready for a change from mountain trout, chicken or other traditional mountain fare, 19 Degrees North Seafood is a great option. In the middle of December they are able to get fresh vegetables! The corn on the cob in the low country boil or available as a side had the taste of a summer harvest! I could have feasted simply on a bucket of their corn!!
